Value engineering & alternate sources

Alternate-Source Development & Hard-to-Find Parts

Programs come to EOS when a supplier becomes difficult to work with, lead times stretch beyond plan or a price moves out of reach. The request is direct: can a second source be added before the schedule absorbs the damage?

We address that problem through value engineering, parts sourcing and alternate-source development. The supply work starts before the quote: EOS contacts and vets suppliers, confirming that each source will quote and can deliver on its commitments. The result is another supply option the program can evaluate against its schedule and budget.

Technical & field support

Training, Technical Manuals & Field Support

A replacement part is one element of a platform's support requirement. The people operating and maintaining that equipment also need instruction, technical information and the right tools.

EOS provides training, programs of instruction and technical-manual development, field support, and special tools and test equipment. These services connect the equipment being supplied with the work needed to operate and support it.

Capabilities

Lifecycle Support & Obsolescence Analysis

Sustainment planning looks past the next order to the supply, tooling and modernization work a platform will need across its service life.

Upgrade & Modernization

EOS supports upgrade and modernization requirements for military equipment platforms and defense infrastructure. Parts distribution and EOS-engineered products sit alongside the technical and logistics work needed to support that equipment.

Obsolescence Analysis & DMSMS Support

Obsolescence analysis examines the supply problems that emerge as equipment remains in service. EOS has undertaken this work, connecting obsolescence management with its sourcing, alternate-source development and lifecycle-support capabilities.

Special Tools & Test Equipment

Maintaining fielded equipment calls for the right tooling and test equipment alongside the parts. EOS supplies special tools and test equipment as part of its technical and field-support scope.

Process

How We Work

A sustainment requirement moves through the same sequence whether it is a single part, a kit or a lifecycle-support scope.

  1. //01

    Requirement & Supplier Vetting

EOS reads the requirement and contacts the supply base before quoting. We confirm that each supplier will quote and can deliver on its commitments, which shows early where the supply base is thin and an alternate source is needed.

  2. //02

Quote With Availability & Lead Time

The quote confirms availability, price and lead time. Where a source is difficult or a price has moved, value engineering and alternate-source development give the program another option to compare.

  3. //03

    Packaging, Kitting & Documentation

Mil-spec or commercial packaging and kitting prepare the equipment and parts for delivery, with the documentation the destination requires. International requirements continue through export compliance and customs clearance.

  4. //04

    Delivery & Lifecycle Support

Delivery connects with the training, technical manuals, field support and tooling the platform needs in service. Obsolescence analysis and modernization support continue the relationship across the service life.

EOS Technology

Technology-Enabled Sustainment

EOS Technology connects integrated business systems, NSN demand forecasting and engine reliability and lifecycle-cost analysis. Our internal tools help the team examine supply options and lifecycle costs alongside the program's technical and logistics requirements.

Why EOS

Why Partner With EOS

Program managers and contracting officers get one team behind the parts, technical support and supply-chain work a fielded platform needs.

Veteran-Owned Small Business

EOS, Inc. is a Veteran-Owned Small Business founded in 2018 and based in North Charleston, SC. We support U.S. Government, Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales requirements from one organization.

Vetted Supplier Network

Suppliers are contacted and vetted before EOS quotes. Capacity extends through a network of contract manufacturing, contract support and engineering specialists coordinated around the program's requirement.

Engineering & Technology Behind the Supply

EOS Engineered Products covers product development, qualification and testing, and alternate-source development. Internal technology, including NSN demand forecasting and engine reliability analysis, informs the sourcing decisions behind each quote.

Domestic & international programs

Domestic & International Program Support

EOS works across U.S. Government, Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales channels. For an international sustainment requirement, parts support connects with procurement, mil-spec packaging and kitting, then the export and delivery work.

The global logistics service covers export compliance, documentation, customs clearance and final-mile delivery. That is the next part of the support chain for equipment operating beyond the United States.
